Registration deadline: All participants must have registered online.

Wednesday, May 9, 2018

Art delivery: Artworks and two signed copies of the registration confirmation email for each artwork must be submitted in person between 4 and 6pm at Jefferson Middle School, 200 Fairbanks Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Works must be labeled with title, artist’s name, teacher’s name and school, grade, and contact information. Late or damaged work will not be accepted.

Judging: Email notification of artwork juried into exhibition. Work that is not juried into the exhibition must be picked up at Jefferson Middle School by 5pm. Any work not picked up by the teacher will be available at Jefferson Middle School after the exhibition.

Art & Science Fair Public Viewing and Awards Ceremony: Public viewing is held between 2:00 and 3:00 PM. The Awards Ceremony will take place at 3:00 pm at Jefferson Middle School. All artist, their families and friends are encouraged and invited to attend this wonderful celebration.

Rules

Statement of Purpose: The daVinci Arts & Science Fair was developed to provide a forum to show the relationship between arts and science and provide a venue for student artists to display their work and compete for awards. The juried art that is selected for exhibition will feature student art that will be exhibited at Jefferson Middle School in Oak Ridge, TN.

Eligibility: Open to all student artists in grades 3rd-5th (May event) and 5th-8th (January event), in East Tennessee. Each student may only submit one entry. Submit only work completed within the last school year. Entries must be original works in the following categories: Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Ceramics, Digital Photography, Traditional Photography, Computer Graphics, Mixed-Media, and Printmaking. The maximum allowed size is 22” X 28”. Weight is not to exceed 50 lbs. Works should be matted before delivery to Jefferson Middle School. 3-D works should be sturdy and stable or otherwise secured to a base. The juror reserves the right to disqualify any work not suitably presented.

Liability: Receipt of the completed application form constitutes your agreement with all conditions established in the prospectus. Consent to reproduce works photographically for promotional purposes are assumed to be granted unless stated otherwise. Care will be taken when handling the works. The artist does not hold the Rotary Club of Oak Ridge Sunset or its partners responsible for damage or loss that may occur in connection with the Student Art Show.
